“Without a Plan, your Goals are Merely Wishes”
We believe that estate planning is a highly personal, unique and counseling-based process for all of our clients. We are committed to the following definition of estate planning from the National Association of Estate Planning Attorneys:
I want to control and protect my property while I am alive.
I want my property to take care of me and my loved ones if I become disabled.
I want to give what I have to whom I want, the way I want, and when I want.
I want to save every last tax dollar, professional fee, and court cost possible.
We help clients meet the goals of this definition by developing a unique THREE-STEP PROCESS.
Step 1: Spending time learning about our clients and their families and listening carefully to their goals, concerns, fears, values and plans. We do this without an initial charge. When we are clear on the scope of our services we will quote a fixed fee so that no matter how much time we spend or phone calls are made, you will know the final cost. We work to design a plan that is unique and valuable.
Step 2: We strongly recommend fully funded trusts (title of your assets is moved to the trust). We want your plan to work and avoid probate and maintain the confidentiality of your affairs. We provide an experienced and trained funding coordinator who works with you to re-title all of you assets and helps you maintain this ownership during your life.
Step 3: We have established and maintain a formal and regular updating program that is intended to address the continuous changes in the law and in our clients’ families, health, employment and economic circumstances. This program is offered to our clients.
